Sodwana Steams Ahead

The final details for the Sodwana Kite Festival have been released. Here they are in a nutshell. Remember, there is still time to drop everything and join us!
Brandhouse will be pulling out all the stops by sponsoring and hosting the evening functions. Don't forget:The marquee will be situated at Pisces Tented Camp near Sodwana Bay Lodge. Meals will be on sale on Friday and Saturday evening, and there will be prize giving and entertainment on both nights.
Friday October 24th: Late registration will take place between 10 and 11am at the judges tent on the beach. The contest director briefing will be at 11am. Kitesurfing Demos and equipment reviews will take place all day. The main events of the contest, junior, novice, ladies, pro and master will be run between 12 and 3:30pm. The party kicks off at 7pm at the Brandhouse tent, and promotions are on offer.
Saturday October 25: Once again kite testing and demos will be going on all day, and the day will also be used as a holdover day for heats. If all the events have been completed then the fun events like king of the air, best trick etc will take place.
A event summary, and prizegiving will take place in the evening. Followed by a range of exciting live bands including Spoonfeedas, Bed on Bricks and Junkyard theatre.
Sunday October 28th: Sponsors will still be showing off their gear on the beach, and the day will be used as a holdover if needed. Current predictions show the possibility of a good North Easter.
