Iles de la Madeleine
The best kiteboarding place in Canada

Fly to the islands or drive to Souris on Prince Edward Island and take the ferry. (www.ctma.ca)

Rent a car ! because there are so many nice kiting spots around the islands!

You can stay at Auberge de Gros Cap (limited budget) where you can cook and rinse out your gear.

You can also rent a house or cottage. www.tourismeilesdelamadeleine.com has a nice lodging facilities search engine.

"Les Pas Perdus " and the local microbrewery " A l'Abri de la tempete" are a "must hang out there"

Sea and surf kayaking, seal watching / diving with the seals, grottoes and wave swimming, hiking, sailing, and so much more...

It really varies upon your accomodation , if you rent a house and cook or eat out everyday !

average are 13-18 knots, usually pretty stable because the islands are in the middle of the gulf

End of august and september is the best time because the wind is perfect and the water is still warm ( 18 Celsius)

THe islands are shapped like a croissant and depending on the wind direction, you can always access the best spot. Wheter you want flat water or waves.

You can drop at the microbrewry and there is always someone that can indicate you where the riders are.

www.aerosport.ca, located on the main island (Cap-aux-Meules)

Don't kite at the lagoons in late september, it's hunting season ;)

The islands were the host of the first PKRA in North America. The wind conditions are usually awesome and the sceanery is very unique. All these little coloroued houses, flourishing hills... If it was a little warmer, it'd be kiter's paradise !

There are 300 km of white sand beaches around the archipelago. You can also go in the lagoons (closed water surface)
