From Liberia take the panamerican highway toward Nicaragua. Once in La Cruz, take the road to bahia Salinas and 8 miles later you'll see the sign: Kitesurfing center & school 2000 - playa Copal
the best and fastes way to get to playa Copal from Liberia is by taxi. Aprox. cost is $45/50. It's only one hour driving.
You can stay at the kitesurfing center 2000 where you can get hostel style accommodations with kitchen and lockers for $12,50 per night
Behind the kitesurfing center 2000 there is the Restaurant Copal with cheap prices and great food
snorkelling, sea kayaking, mountain biking, windsurfing
you can spend only $25/30 per day for food and accommodation!!
Wind is always side/on shore. It's always blowing between 15 to 30 knots
best time is between November to May. Every day sunny and windy
water is all year around warm (about 27 degree celsius) but during january and february some days is reccomended a shorty. It's flat or choppy depending on the wind and the tide.
The only kitesurfing center of the country is :KITESURFING CENTER & SCHOOL 2000. It's located 100 mt. from the kite beach Copal.
