The airport is 30 min away from all the spots on the north coast.
The best thing is to rent a car... and you ll be able to move and try different locations.
My favorite place to stay is in Lajares, the surfer village a the north of the island... it s half way between the east cost and the west one.. perfect to choose its beach according to the wind direction.
Plenty of great restaurants, bars, clubs and live concerts on the beach!!!
surf, bodyboard, kitesurf, windsurf, zoo, quad, jeep safari, excursion in Lanzarote, excursion on the Lobos Island, diving, snokeling, montain bike, hiking, catamaran trip....
The living cost is a bit cheaper than in Europe.
summer : 15-25 knots north east wind...
summer : steady Trade winds.. flat water...
winter : more random wind (but you can expect to ride one day out of two at least).. big waves...
summer : lycra...
winter : shorty or 3/2 full suit
Watch out for the reefs... but normaly there are no problems.
If you come during the PKRA.. you ll get the chance to see all the guys training... and in winter some pro's come to ride some big waves... anyway, there are some pretty amazing riders at all times...
