Algarve it's a very touristic place. There lots of hotels, apartments, camping the difficult is to choose. I stayed in Albufeira, an old fishersman village. Lots of beaches and spots around.
All the beach restaurants are quite good, always offering fresh fish.
Restaurante "O Carlos" in Praia Grande de Pêra is reccomended.
Water parks, zoos, safaris and almost everything you can imagine!!!
A termic side off wind blows almost every days from SW, in the afternoon. Between 12 and 20 knt.
Algarve have a very warm climate all year around. I was there in May. In July and August it will be very crowd.
You can choose between calm sea, lagoons and waves.

Just have to avoid the crowdy beaches in the Summer.
I have been in unbelivable spots. Desert islands in lagoons when I can choose sea or calm water.
All the good beaches for Kite are very large without rocks or other obstacles.
