Gokova Ruzgar Kiteboard Beach
From Dalaman Airport to Akyaka (the town by the Gokova beach) is 65 km. It is on the way to Marmaris. Don't miss the Gokova Junction 28 km to Marmaris. Do not turn left to Marmaris keep straight up through the hill for 500 m and you will see the sign AKYAKA on the left
Arrange private transfer (€45). It is fast and cheap. Do not get a taxi it is expensive (€65). If you are looking for something cheaper get on the airport-Marmaris shuttle (€20 per person). Get off in Gokova Junction. Call Oz from kiteschool (+90 532 2730915). He will pick you up. It is only 3 km to town
I rented a small house for the first time. It was €60 per day. 2nd time I prefered to stay in a small hotel, the kite school arranged it for €50 per double per night including breakfast. It was 2 min walk to beach and at the center of town
Restaurants by the creek are "must to visit". You can find all local tastes there but a bit expensive like €20 per person including alcohol. There are many restaurants and cafes in town for every budget and taste. Food is very cheap in Turkey.

Seasonal avarage is 18 knots, onshore, steady. Starts everday at 11 am, blows until 19:00. Gokova is a 60 km long gulf surrounded by high cliffs. Gokova Ruzgar kite beach is located at the end of the gulf. In every suny day it is sure that the cold weather on the see will rush through this giant aisle down to warm kitebeach. 100% :)
From July to end September is the best due to steady wind conditions and hot weather and water. Season starts in April ends in October.
Water is 25 C in the season. It is mostly flat, due to strong wind sometimes steady waves appears. It is shallow for the first 200 m. Very good for training
The long jety of the 2nd creek is dividing the kite beach in two sections. Right side is used for trainings and beginners. On the left side of jety the wind is always stronger about 2-3 knots more. Better for advanced riders.
There are 5-15 kites everyday. Half of them are locals. It is very spacious area, good for the ones who are sick of crowded beaches.

While going to kite spot bring your food and drink, it is wild and empty there.
I visited this unique spot 4 years ago with my wite and dreamed about to move there. And I did 2 years ago :)
The beach is about 3 km. Town and beach are seperated by creek. It is all sand in the water and at the rigging area.
