When you come from the airport Puerto Plata, you take the main road to the left. Than you only go straight ahead until you are almost in Cabarete. About 1 km before Cabarete you have Kitebeach. At the left of the road, there is a sign with Windwing Cabarete. Here is the center. This is about 3 houses after Hotel Agualina.

Windwing Cabarete offers rooms and apartments. Directly from your bed you can take a swim in the ocean. A beautiful location, good prices and all the facilities you need. The rooms all have their own bathroom (hot and cold water), fan, 24 hours of electricity and in the garden is a storage for your kites and a swimming pool. You can get breakfast and lunch at the sandwich bar and Windwing Cabarete has free wireless internet.

Another option is Hooked Cabarete. An apartment complex with a very relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful surrounding. The high quality apartments are suited for two people and have a possibility for a third person. All apartments have a bathroom, kitchen, ventilation system, hot water and covered terrace.

Windwing Cabarete is a friendly place with an informal atmosphere. It is a great place to be with a terrace, bar and pool and a good place to learn kiteboarding. The instructors are all certified and experienced. After the lessons it is possible to rent equipment with or without supervision (somebody that looks after you and helps you all the time).
The water is between 25 and 28 degrees (Celsius) and the water is most of the year flat with small waves at the reef further out on the water. From June until September, the wind is mostly 15 – 25 knots almost every day (6, 8 or 12 m2 kite). In October and November there is about 6 – 15 knots (10, 12, 14, 16 m2 kite). From December until May it differs between 10 – 25 knots (different sizes kites, on average a 12 m2). Most of the times the wind is very stable and side-shore.
June – September, but also during the rest of the year we have approximately 70 - 80% of the time good wind.
Windwing Cabarete organises on regular base activities like downwinders from other kitespots, wakeboarding, diners in typical Dominican restaurants or a Sushi night. Other things to do in and around Cabarete are diving, snorkelling, horseback riding, climbing, going to waterfalls, jeepsafaries, visiting the caves, go to places like Samana or Las Terrenas or go shopping in Puerto Plata or Santiago.
