Fort Walton Beach Florida is one of the greatest places in the country to learn how to Kiteboard. With miles of white sand beaches to choose from, great teaching sites for learning kiteboarding with no obstructions and few other beachgoers abound. Sea & Ski students are free to learn, without the hassles of a crowded location.
Being on a barrier island gives us great water options as well. On one side we've got the beautiful green water of the Gulf of Mexico. Shallow and warm with clean, small sets of waves, it's like nowhere else.
And just across the street on the bay side we have perfect shallow water with no waves. That's where most students get their first rides. Hurricane Ivan increased our beach size by about 200% in 2004 and now with the shallow, flat water and larger launching/landing area some locals call this their favorite spot. Downwinders to the infamous Crab Island in Destin are a great way to hone your riding skills.

All kiteboarding gear is provided during lessons, including helmets and flotation vests. Sea and Sky's instruction is highly hands on - we'll be in the water with you on the coldest winter day! School kites and boards allow you the opportunity to try out the newest equipment from all the leading kiteboard manufacturers. When it's time for your own setup, you'll already have a good idea of what works best for you and can invest wisely, knowing that we'll give you the soundest advice around.
You can email or call us to inquire about scheduling a lesson. We're not into the 9-5 thing and are happy to work around your needs (yes, we've given moonlight lessons). Or, if kiteboarding isn't for you, but you know someone who has been dying to try it, contact us about gift certificates to cover all or part of the instruction fees! Remember, kiteboarding is an extreme sport and before you head out, get some professional instruction - for your sake, and for the sake of those around you...
We have a jet ski fleet offering downwinders on all our lessons. We also have powered paragliding lessons and tandem rides available.
