Lessons are $195 for a three hour session. Kite equipment is included, wetsuit is not. Skills to fly a trainer kite required to start.
The beach where lessons are taught is less than 5 minutes from the Arcata/Eureka airport. Get on highway 101 heading north and go to the next exit (Clam Beach exit). Drive north on the frontage road along the beach approximatly one mile to a parking lot on your left. Park here and walk out on to the beach.

Humboldt Kytz opened in 2004 and offers classes at Clam Beach in Humboldt County, CA. There are miles of open beach downwind and the water is chilly (49-55 degrees) year round. The wind speed averages 15-20 mph. with the occasional higher wind day. Useful kites range from 9m through large light wind kite.
Best winds occur during the spring and fall months.
